I was going to write the same exact thing. 🤝
I saw some bluegrass band do a cover of You Got Lucky & it was really damn good.
I finally got around to listening to this the other day & it really is quite wonderful.
I need to do this, but it’s at the long end of a very big list! 😄
that Khruangbin on sale for Boulder was weird…I seemingly had to grab the last balcony spot available, but then I refreshed afterwards & all of a sudden the GA floor tickets were available AND they were cheaper! 😖 So, now I have an extra single in the balcony to unload. 😕🤷‍♂️
Dang…thanks for the heads-up on this insta account!
That’s one of those nights where I almost skipped it for whatever reason but powered through & boy, am I happy that I did! ALWAYS GO TO THE SHOW!! 😁🎶🤘

My personal favorite tape of 71 + easily among the best of the electric era.

Ndugu wasn’t a great fit for this tour - Jarrett steamrolled him and he frequently missed Miles’ cues - but everything falls into place here for 90 glorious minutes. A magical gig.
Recorded this day, 1971: The Miles band's European tour arrives in Dietikon for two concerts. The late show finds the band completely transformed, hitting its stride magnificently. How this one was passed over for release is baffling- it's one of the great Miles shows!

Uncanny.
I will never for a moment wonder again how it could have happened. I see exactly how it happened. You just need one malignant narcissist and then a whole lot of ordinary, stupid people to give themselves over to either raw hate or determined indifference. It rides again.
It is, as they say, fire.

Reminder that Violent J of Insane Clown Posse has the correct response to a lot of the shitty things he said in the early days.
30 frickin years ago!! ♟️
sweet! Rush just added a Denver date next year. 🤘
I’ve never seen this Ween interview before. It’s from thirty years ago, and just six months before Jerry passed. 😯
it’s kinda next door/behind the building that Louie’s is in…there’s a little swing gate that connects the Slammer patio to the Louie’s playground
The Slammer. It’s the old jailhouse that’s a bar now. I play open mic there all the time.
I just walked by there about 1/2hr ago on my way to Deerhammer. Did you go through the back of the playground & visit the Slammer?
