Ooh. The low-res thing is very relevant, imo. I was babysat by BBC2 and C4 on a TV that had to be manually tuned. A long way from the huge and pristine images at hand today. Seeing stuff theatrically also offered a big step up in quality.

Arguably, the best bit in Red Dead Redemption 2 is when you stumble across a Klan meeting, and it ends very badly for them. Which is why Rockstar are more exciting developers than the increasingly unimaginative Ubisoft.
