Has anyone besides @muellershewrote.com reminded people that the gqp senate killed the filibuster to get mass nominations confirmed just a few weeks ago?

The gqp could end the shutdown if they wanted to.

The random people who called into this C-SPAN session had better questions for Mike Johnson than most corporate media outlets

C-SPAN caller to Mike Johnson: "Hearing you say that 'everyone is smiling' in cities where troops have been rolled into feels dystopian and insane watching the response to it."

The Affordable Care Act provides coverage for essential health benefits, such as hospitalization, outpatient care, preventive services, mental health, rehabilitative services, laboratory services, prescription drugs, pediatric care and dental care. #Obamacare
bullet1982.bsky.social
Before the Affordable Care Act, if you suffered a catastrophic injury -- for example, paralysis -- your health insurer had a life time cap. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, there are no caps on out-of-pocket costs, lifetime or annual limits and inclusion for preventive care. #Obamacare
bullet1982.bsky.social
Before the Affordable Care Act became law, health insurance companies could deny individuals health care for pre-existing conditions such as pregnancy, autism, diabetes, cancer or asthma. It banned health care companies from charging women more for health care than men.

GOP Rep. Don Bacon: "This whole thing about the Nobel Peace Prize I think is silly. Do the right thing. Try to create peace. Lobbying for an award -- to me it looks unseemly."

The Rutgers TPUSA chapter — whose characterization of a historian there as a “outspoken, well-known antifa member” led to death threats and moving his family to Europe — think *other* people are being “blatantly defamatory.”

Not them, though. They’re doing politics the right way.

What a great story: offshore wind turbines are being used for their biodiversity addition by growing seaweed on lines between turbines.

While the wind turbines generate clean energy, seaweed grows & helps regenerate the surrounding marine environment, while absorbing CO2 & excess nutrients.

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

New Yorkers know Attorney General James for who she is: a champion for justice who fights relentlessly for the people. Donald Trump knows her only as an obstacle to his corruption.

My full statement:
New Yorkers know Attorney General James for who she is: a champion for justice who fights relentlessly for the people. Donald Trump knows her only as an obstacle to his corruption.

No one should be surprised that Donald Trump is employing fascist tactics—prosecuting his opponents, weaponizing the federal government, and attacking the very fabric of our democracy. And Trump should not be surprised when millions of Americans stand up to his authoritarianism and his greed.

If Trump wants to leverage baseless charges to visit political retribution on New York’s Attorney General, he’ll have to go through New Yorkers first. The Attorney General has had our back, time and again. We have hers.
