THE NEW ORDER'S HEEEEEEYAAAAH
It's definitely one of the better new thrash releases - i like all their stuff, thanks in part to you.
Man, his lead work on Konkhra's 'Weed Out The Weak' was absolute 🔥
He's there because he's an important part of the classic lineup. If Greg or Louie had been more popular, they'd be there too. Peterson and Billy do most of the writing now - even had some guest writers in the past, like 'Low'
'Omega Wave' was pretty solid, but suffers from that 'sound' @goc1978.bsky.social is referring to. The last Testament album that was good (imo) was 'The Gathering'. I only really liked 'Energetic Disassembly' from Watchtower - not familiar with Mekong Delta.
Anthrax is definitely the best sounding, thanks mainly to Joey. And I think a lot of that sound stems from newer production values/methods; everything ends up with that tone. As for Metallica? Meh. I'll always be grateful for the older stuff, but I really don't care about them anymore.
Let's not pretend that Exodus (even though i like them) is the only legacy thrash band doing this - Testament, Death Angel, and especially the big 4 have been pumping out boring, regurgitated crap for over 20 years. 🤨
I did, very much! '...Enigma' is my favorite Anathema album. 👍😊
I was thinking the same thing. A headlining tour may not happen, so it'll have to be a seriously good package for me to fly somewhere to see them.
'Prolonging' is really an extension of 'Renewal' (Hence the clever name), and yessir! That sounds like a Hammond

Coroner. Dissonance Theory. 2025. While there’s something to be said about recency bias, plus the excitement of a 32 yr wait — this is MAGNIFICENT. Ten years in the making, their yearning for perfectionism shows — apparently only 1 in 50 riffs even made the cut — and its production is flawless #AOTY
'Ee damn well better if ee knows wot's good for 'im, wot! 🤨
