It’s interesting that Black Sabbath’s “Symptom of the Universe” & Celtic Frost’s “Dethroned Emperor” are from the same era, in that they came out within 10 yrs of one another. [We tend to draw a line in the sand today between 70s proto vs 80s trad — but musically, this was all on the same continuum]

Suspiria. 1977. Dir: Dario Argento. Of course DA was god-tier when it came to shooting film w/ lights & shadows — this scene was filmed at Königsplatz, Munich, and you’ll notice the coven flying overhead by their shadows. It’s a subtle moment but pivotal overall.
