If Congress doesn't reinstate the benefit for telehealth visits or does not make the coverage retroactive from October 1, 2025, until legislation passes, the patient will be responsible for paying the full amount billed by the provider.

This is an important thread for those w/family/friends on Medicare.

The core functions of Medicare are funded during the shutdown. However, telehealth visits were subject to legislative extension, which did NOT occur, resulting in their rollback.

Check with providers to understand your options.
