It's important to forgive your younger self for being stupid, mean, or ill-informed. Dwelling on how bad your past self was only leads to self-shame. Know that they were doing the best they could with the information they had and the environment they were in.

opened telegram to find that the founder pinned a message for presumably everyone to read where he takes issue with multiple things, some valid and some far less so that feels like they're obfuscating details, before devolving into a fascist rant about the moral (and biological??) decay of society 🙄

Pavel Durov dm about turning 41 and being sad about government IDs and also people being arrested for various stuff. It's weird he doesn't mention what they're being arrested for specifically, honestly. He then says that this is leading to a betrayal of the "legacy of our ancestors" (lol) and then, in the second picture, whining about his this is the moral decay of society (and also biological decay for some reason??). People are allowed to fuck up. They are allowed to NOT know things. Socrates said “we cannot be better than in seeking to become better.”

It is WILLFUL IGNORANCE that is unforgivable. When you know better and refuse to do better and continue harmful behavior.
