We certainly provide training to foreign military -- but as far as I know, we have never allowed a foreign nation to have a base here. It is not clear (it is never clear with these guys) what Sec. Hegseth actually meant... a "Qatari base" or "they will come here and be trained on our base"

Many members of The Steady State are former CIA Officers. I fear that soon DNI Gabbard or DCIA Ratcliffe will learn that the CIA is the direct descendent of the OSS, an organization devoted to fighting fascism.

We at The Steady State have studied the indicators of authoritarianism for decades — usually dry words in intelligence reports. But sometimes, a single photograph says it all.

Authoritarianism doesn’t arrive all at once. It creeps in under cover of “order,” cloaked in uniforms, justified by fear.
