Finally getting into Outer Worlds 2, everything feels like a step up, except I miss the wackier tone of the first game. I know that's not a popular opinion, but as a big fan of absurdism, I wish it would have kept that tone.

So I once heard it said that one of the reasons that Sony didn't have a mascot like Nintendo or Xbox is because it had too many to choose from. In many ways I agree, Sweet Tooth, Crash, Spyro, Jak, Kratos...But I also think that's an oversimplification of Xbox's reliance on Halo.

I mean, with the Helldivers 2 crossover...kinda should have seen the jump coming, but Halo going cross platform does signal a major turning point for gaming, one in which we will very likely see fewer and fewer exclusives.

So going back and looking at #Tron Legacy reviews makes me realize how time can be very kind to what are seen as pretty abysmal movies at the time. Now, Legacy is considered a FX movie masterpiece. So...yeah Ares was fun, and I think time will be kind to it.

So #tron makes me miss special FX movies with nonsense stories...this being said, Tron Ares is no better or worse than the previous movies, it may actually be better than Tron Legacy.

Reviewers once again holding #tron to a narrative standard it has literally never met. Tron has never had particularly dimensional characters or deep narratives...they are FX films showing off cutting edge tech...that's it.

To all the #weebs out there, I cannot recommend Otr of The Flame enough...unfortunately it's on the bubble week to week, but as shonen goes it's really solid, has a cool power system and BEAUTIFUL artwork.

Honestly, I much prefer Obsidian's denser worlds and role-playing to Bethesda's barren worlds and simulation. I've always found more simulational games boring...I don't want to work, I want to be a swashbuckling space captain.

I've been a fan of #tron for a very long time, and there is this weird idea that the first #movie had an actually good story...it didn't. The fact of the matter is both Tron and Legacy were special FX #films that showcased the most cutting edge in technology. I expect only as much from Ares
