Um, if you can't afford to run a camp safely, you can't afford to run it. Also I think if part of your plan is ladders to let kids climb up to roof tops during flash floods, this is not a safe place for anyone.

I'm at that point in a big grant where I can see the end and I'm happy with what I've written. Actually excited to spend the day (morning) writing...of course my inner voice tells me the excitement will abate but I'm enjoying it for now!

Although I love my job, the part of it that requires editing, rediting and cutting text to fit pre-application guidelines, followed by then expanding at the next round is kinda soul-destroying (in a pathetic academic sense...there are lots of other actually soul-destroying things going on...)
