wanted to tell for a long time. While I’m incredibly happy with this game, I can’t lie — I do have a bit of anxiety about the fourth game, which could of course come back to later influence my thoughts on Kai and the Calvard arc. I really, really hope Falcom can pull it off.

Speaking objectively there’s no doubt that Kai has some of Falcom’s more frustrating modern Kiseki writing habits but at the same time I can’t bring myself to really care. The overall story is fantastic. The route system basically eliminates all of my issues with pacing in this series and
