There's a scene where they're on a waterski and the whole time there's this ominous NIN music and I was like "fuck yes, this scene is just a whole vibe."

The bass was strong enough in our theater to vibrate my seat, I rather enjoyed that. 😅

I hear Leto is a fuck. I hope I never deal with him as a person. But Ares as a character is a pretty okay successor to Tron in my book.

Cinema is a medium not a genre, so don't listen to professional critics. It isn't so much a movie as "an addition to the Tron audiovisual experience".

If the Tron franchise is a thanksgiving dinner, Ares is the stuffing. Great, not necessarily on its own, but in context with its kin. And it has some great bits. I will watch it many more times. Music and visuals all on point.

I also poured WAY too much sumi ink into my suzuri, I'd been using canvas which sucks in ink, this media just takes a little bit. I sadly washed down a few ounces of precious black sumi when I was done. 😭
