Thank you!! I thought about that, and I may go that route. I have never blocked anything before but I do have board and pins that I got early on when I started crochet. I just never ended up doing anything that needed it! First time for everything I guess! 😅 I’ll have to look harder into the process

I am a little concerned it will not be drapey enough once it’s finished. But, last time I made a scarf I made it TOO drapey with that same fear. I shall persist and hope it washes up nice and soft!! And yes, it got kitty approval right after the last pic, hehe 🥰 #crochet 🧶 #crochetwip #fiberart

I finished watching the second season of Mayfair Witches last night for Halloween last night. 🎃 🕯️ 🦇 🍁 That was a bit of a trip! Anne Rice sure does love to choose themes that make the skin crawl and fearlessly examines the darkest corners of our existence.

Today is Dysautonomia Awareness Day.

This condition has been devastating to live with.

It’s so much more than “just fainting”

When your autonomic nervous system doesn’t work, you get issues with your heart rate, breathing, temperature, digestion, respirations & more.

What’s even worse is it all feeds into itself in a vicious cycle round and round! All if it makes every other part, worse! And like 95% of it is invisible. So family seems so clueless and don’t tend to listen. It’s all fun and games till I’m on the floor!!

Pots and long covid here plus suspected EDS. AuDHD. The sensory issues are half my struggle, the pots (which sits in that dysautonomia box) is the other half. Throw in a dash of depression and chronic joint pain, SI joint flares, the list goes on. Oh yeah AND diabetic because WHY NOT

So much rage at how our government is treating our basic needs. But also have to take a moment to give mad respect to this brave woman for speaking the truth plainly - and then, with the eye contact that shows how genuine she is, “We will stand out there and do our very best.” Legend.

You are doing the right thing. This is better than an emergency when you don’t get to say goodbye. My Luna had a grand mal seizure when unknown to us cancer had reached her brain. I can only hope she knew I was there and held her till the end. 😓🫂 Healing thoughts your way. ❤️‍🩹

This is a the sort of thing that make me truly wonder what the end solution will be for me. They want disabled people gone so bad it feels hopeless. Where else can we go once we fall on hard times?? But of course, it’s all our own faults.

Been there too. Now that I’m 35 my body mostly knows its limits but sometimes it doesn’t or can’t react defensively, quick enough! Dislocated and had a bimalleolar break to my ankle last summer (2024) and it’s been a long road.

I can relate. I have all the symptoms and it makes so much of my child/teen years make more sense. Plus I have MANY of the commonly co-occurring things. But so far no doctor wants to try and diagnose. I’m either too old or just overweight. Hoping I’ll find a better doctor eventually. It’s rough.
