Made a Victoria sponge that already looks sad and squished so I have no idea how it's going to look after I haul out across London on Tuesday, I remember why I mostly make solid loaf cakes.
Also these which I hope will travel better

Unexpected rabbit hole today is discovering that "Phwoar!" was first recorded by the dictionary in 1976, and 1972's Carry On Matron may be its first film appearance.

I thought I'd found an earlier 60s TV use, but it seems "Phwoar!" is firmly a 70s phenomenon.

This is such a good point. I can't afford £100 for a covid booster. I could and would cheerfully pay £15 for one as I do flu. I also don't understand why so many aren't eligible for an NHS booster this year considering it didn't miraculously stop being covid over the summer

This makes me want to break things. If it's such a no-big (it actually is a big that fucking disabled me), and you're equating it to flu (again, not remotely like), then why aren't the prices comparable?

(They should be free but given that's not going to happen, well)

I went to see this film because Gavia explained the despite the posters (and this preview image) it would definitely be more interesting than "here is a famous man holding a gun".
