I hope that the swing to extremism, now in some countries, is not replicated here and we need to be so mindful of the toxic influences of the Murdoch media. 4/4

As I reflect on where we have come from, a very white generous maybe condescending Aust, largely we have embraced, at least on a personal level, multiculturalism and I think we are better because of it. 3/4

There are racists and a few misogynist but much less given my location down south. As a privileged male and retired corporate, I tend to see less of that though I noticed it with my family and colleagues are discriminated against.. 2/4

Having lived in SE Asia and mostly Aust, I feel so privileged to be in Melbourne living my best life. It’s not perfect but not far from it.

Not pad Thai or Cha Kuey Teow
It’s a Cantonese version of fried rice noodles with beef and ginger with broccolini and bean shoots.

I am intrigued why Victoria is portrayed by the media as limiting free speech and protest when in NSW (apart from the Free Palestine Bridge crossing) the police is actually stifling protests. In Melbourne we are constantly seeing protests by both sides with minimal restrictions.
