WIN a set of postcards of TV crime series as Penguin book covers. Simply guess which series is depicted on each cover. The earliest was broadcast in 1969. All originated on TV (so no Morse, Marple etc). Email [email protected] & I'll pick three from a digital deerstalker. Deadline: 10 Oct.

This is a lovely hour’s listening. Not just the unheard-since-1975 audio with Lennon, but Nicky Horne recounting the experience of travelling to New York as a 24 year old and interviewing his musical hero at the Dakota.

Nicky Horne on Lennon - Boom Rock
On what would have been John's 85th birthday, Nicky opens up about his 1975 New York encounter with him and plays part of the interview.

Really loved those diaries. Generous, insightful and a great record of what it was like to work with Mike Nichols.

Oh that’s a good reminder to watch S2 of the NZ version, thank you!

US #Traitors casts sneaky & backstabbing celebrities to amp up drama. UK celeb version already feels smart for the opposite instinct: national treasures, Olympians and overall sound types. Their liking for each other makes the game more challenging and the programme funnier & warmer. Great first ep.

In the creative industries/the media and want to mentor? @artsemergency.bsky.social is looking for enthusiastic professionals
Although we have lots of great potential mentors, we are still short of applicants in the Merseyside region and we could do with more applicants in London working in the following career areas:

- Gaming and animation
- Fashion design
- Broadcast journalism
- Visual arts: illustrators / people with illustration experience or any experience relevant to character design
- Performing arts: musical theatre performers or people with experience in the musical theatre industry
- Film & TV - on screen
- Architecture and interior design

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Incredible clipping from 1992, and the internal machinations it hints at.

That Ishiguro quote, one more time.
A quote by Kazuo Ishiguro:

But in the end, stories are about one person saying to another: This is the way it feels to me. Can you understand what I'm saying?
Does it feel this way to you?"

Back when Twitter was just about bearable I sent out a hopeful
Tweet asking for Lovely Beatles Moments.

Not songs or albums - just shards of Beatleness that make people happy.

I turned the responses into a little zine.

Here it is. Hope you like it.
