Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont: "You may not like the fact that I don’t shout and get as angry at Donald Trump as you’d like me to, but I think we’ve made more of a difference in pushing back on him than just about any state in the country."

“You may not like the fact that I don’t shout and get as angry at Donald Trump as you’d like me to, but I think we’ve made more of a difference in pushing back on him than just about any state in the country,” Lamont told the crowd.

“We have fewer of our folks being deported,” Lamont continued. “We have more of our kids going to school. We have more of our folks feeling safe going to hospitals. But I can’t sit on that, because tomorrow that son of a bitch could do something to change the world.”

A peaceful protest rally under the Tom Paine motto "No Kings" is being held on the mall in Washington and in hundreds of other sites around the country. Prior No Kings rallies have attracted 11-12 million attendees, the largest political rallies in US history. bsky.app/profile/atru...

Mike Johnson: "We're so angry about it. I mean, I'm a very patient guy, but I've had it with these people. The theory we have right now -- they have a hate America rally that's scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It's the pro-Hamas wing and antifa people ... "

Connecticut's U.S. senators split on the defense bill vote: Blumenthal yes, Murphy no.

Murphy statement: "It is wildly irresponsible for the Senate to act like it’s business as usual. ... I will not support [Trump's] efforts to... transform our democracy into an authoritarian regime.”
“It is wildly irresponsible for the Senate to act like it’s business as usual and green light President Trump’s ‘Department of War’ while he is militarizing our cities, threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act to crush his political opposition, and violating the Constitution by unilaterally declaring war on undefined targets in the Caribbean without congressional authorization. I have never voted against an NDAA in the Senate and I do not take this vote lightly, but this president views the United States military as his own personal police force. I will not support his efforts to use our men and women in uniform to consolidate power and transform our democracy into an authoritarian regime.”

Connecticut U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal on the Tish James indictment: “The complicity of the Republican Party in Trump's abuses is shameful and disgusting.”
"Donald Trump is perverting our justice system by indictments
on demand—
directing
prosecutions based on vengeance and vanity."
"I am leading legislation to install safeguards against this spiraling crisis, but what our country really needs right now is for Republicans in power to admit this threat and take action. Two days ago, Attorney General Bondi appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee and flatly refused to answer my questions about abusive political prosecutions while my Republican colleagues sat in silence like lapdogs. The complicity of the Republican Party in Trump's abuses is shameful and disgusting."
"Last month, it was Comey; today it was James;
tomorrow it could be you."

UConn is confirming it lost funding for a green energy project, as part of a recent $7.56 billion funding rollback by the Trump administration.

The project would have helped Connecticut towns switch to solar energy and battery storage during power outages caused by extreme weather.

Yeah it looked like he got it right between the goalposts of two of the curved screens! Anyway, great show

Though in my defense as someone who took a few videos we recall the announcement as “please limit use of phones to record” or something to that effect

That was our speculation as well but I didn’t want to put that out into the world without further confirmation!
