Last week, I was laid off from a job I loved at Bellwether. While it’s never easy to receive that news, I’m deeply grateful for my time there, & I’m energized to continue improving outcomes for students.

If you’re hiring, can make an intro, or connect over coffee, I’d love to hear from you. #edusky

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

If you live in DC, I implore you to go see Fremont Ave. I was lucky enough to see the world premiere tonight, and WOW. You’ll experience the full range of human emotions + be blown away by the actors.

As someone who’s been a die-hard Swiftie, I’d encourage you to take these criticisms seriously. I think this TikTok creator lays it out a bit better: www.tiktok.com/t/ZTMABXjpm/ even more important is the numerous Black women calling out micro aggressions in this new album. And we should listen.

With everything going on in the world, it was so nice to take a night to attend a Chai and Paint class ☕️🎨 10/10, would recommend

Definitely captures things I felt about Katabasis that I didn’t know how to put words to

“What are the wrongs they’re asked to quietly endure—the things that make academia, so to speak, dark? And is the magic worth the darkness?” This is truly a brilliant review.

I can’t get over how good this book is. I’m only halfway through and it may be my favorite of the year. #booksky 📚

What a cursed sentence (gift link)

“The A.I. companies selected to oversee the program would have a strong financial incentive to deny claims. Medicare plans to pay them a share of the savings generated from rejections.”

NEW: Federal policy & funding changes are having a big impact on #highered. My colleagues & I break down these changes + actions state leaders can take. bellwether.org/publications...

Also, read my commentary on this issue w/Nick Lee: bellwether.org/blog/ask-the...

Teal background with quote from Christine Dickason, Senior Analyst, Bellwether: "With the federal role in higher education shrinking in the foreseeable future, states must step up to ensure that students have access to high-quality and affordable postsecondary options."
