I took the infrared camera out into the fog and got some of my favourite #aerochrome shots I've taken so far

The combination of the otherworldly colours, the ominous fog and the beautiful Welsh forest was a match made in heaven

📍Lasgarn Forest, Abersychan

#infrared #photography #cymru #wales
A river with a small weir for trout and a lawn off the river bank. The photo is taken using colour infrared which renders the foliage in shades of pink and the water off the river a deep inky blue/black. Moss on the rocks sticking out of the river is also pink A photo of branches of a conifer tree in front of a path leading into the distance. Water drops are on the ends of the branch due to the thick fog condensing on them.

There is a bank on either side of the path that is overgrown with vegetation and tree trunks at the top of the bank.

The photo is taken in colour infrared in an aerochrome emulation so the vegetation is all pink

People would literally rather burn down the ten trees and waste a swimming pool's worth of water for an answer rather than read a fucking web page and actually learn something.

The AI companies will have a lot to answer for

it's not the greggs ones, but a few years back the algorithm was relentlessly suggesting me giant human sized cushions in the shape of a bloomer loaf

We've been extremely busy at work for the past few months and so I haven't had time to look at random rightmove houses, so thanks for supplying the goods

Feels strange to have an infrared photo without a pitch black sky

📍North Lees Hall, Peak District

An old stone hall behind an old stone wall.

Photo taken in infrared, so the leaves on the trees are bright white.

It was great for photos, but maybe not the ideal when we'd gone hiking for the views 😅
A misty plateau with visibility around 20m. The photo is taken in infrared so penetrated the mist more than you could actually see in person.

We climbed up into the clouds. These rocks are usually only around 10m above the slope below, but in this weather the drop looked like it could have been endless.

Love the boat, what a show off! Really makes the image that extra bit special 😁

Anyway, have a photography timeline cleanse.

Mostar (2025)
Hopfen am See (2025)
Skye (2023)
Cornwall (2023)

#Photography #Travel #LandscapePhotography
a small boat swirling round in the river in Mostar taken from a height. Some of the town can be seen on the right and a mosque in the background A small white, red-roofed chapel on very green grass. There's a stormy sky above and lightning is lighting up a patch of the sky over the mountains An old stone bridge with three arches crossing a shallow river. In the background there are mountains and it's very cloudy, with the last of the light being seen just above them through the clouds An inlet with cliffs that make the water look like a zigzag shape. There are two people on the left, nearest cliff watching the water, giving the scene perspective

What has better drainage, the garden or the cursed unconnected downstairs loo?

Your house stories always stress me right out, I seriously don't know how you manage.

I had a full on breakdown when our mains pipe developed a small weep 😭

Thankfully I got a very long thread in response!

This fell two weeks before we had the recent spate of heavy rain.

Local updates from council inspections also confirmed that it had been leaning for quite some time. This tragedy happened over many years.

Okay, here is my *speculative and not authoritative and do not quote me on this I am not speaking in my professional capacity* opinion on this, based on the very little information that I have

my guess is bad repairs

I'm sorry to bother you like this, but sadly you are the Local Internet Building Knower and I must ask: do you have any clue or mild guesses for what could have happened here?

Apparently the front just fell off about half an hour ago. Thankfully nobody was nearby or hurt.

I'll have to come back to shoot it again on film

Checked one off the photography bucket list: Abandoned car in a remote location ✅

📍Hathersage, Hope Valley

I'm gonna operate on the assumption that yes it is 😭 truly scarring stuff

There was One Very Specific Reddit Story that taught me the lesson that if someone says "don't Google this" they are not kidding.

You said don't Google and I listened 👍

Our local Tesco have had them since September 1st 💔

Sometimes I think about all the stuff that just got thrown out and get incredibly sad.

I'm glad you gave all that stuff a home.

Starting to accept that autumn may in fact be on the way, lads.

Every year when I was a child I would buy my German grandfather a box of coconut macaroons.

And then I would have to buy a second because I had inherited his love for them and opened the first box.

Something something no because you actually did work

In case of bluesky commenters: For the avoidance of all doubt, this is a joke

Going to watch the space so hard I'll need a telescope! That would be fantastic!😱

A couple more from my roll of Kentmere 100 that I shot for #wwhfd25 #halfframe

It was fun to take the Pen EE out for the first time in a while.
I've also got a mystery roll of Kentmere 400 that I found in it to develop and I have no idea what's on that one.

That film has a LOT of base fog, I think that's probably as good as you're gonna get without something like benzotriazole to reduce the base fog.

Both people did survive uninjured, yes. The younger man with the headphones only stopped because the old lady turned around which probably saved his life. before the view is obscured you can see him start to run.
