this is civilization to me
A couple weeks ago I emailed my fave chicken sandwich spot to see if the flavor I love will ever come back on the menu.

So they special made me four of them yesterday. Cried in the car on the way home. They were so, so good.

Okay so what happened was, my sister’s 2 yo fell down the stairs and fractured his skull in two places, which I tell you all now as evidence that I am not even the Most Like This in my own family. I came by it *honestly*

(he is doing really well! and she has told her followers now so it’s public)
thank you everyone, we have arrived at probably the best possible outcome for a scary accidental injury to a child (not mine). Going to be a several month healing process so continued prayers appreciated but kiddo is alive and will heal

I stand with County Executive Calvin Ball as he signs emergency legislation today prohibiting privately owned buildings from being used as ICE detention centers.

Howard County chose dignity, accountability, and its people. Tune into our event now:

one of the greatest human triumphs of my lifetime is the relentless, unceasing, heroic effort by DECADES' worth of doctors and scientists to find a cure for a disease much of the world didn't take seriously for years because it predominantly affected a community they thought kinda deserved it
Just because good news is worth celebrating:

There is now a Prep medication that is an *every six month* injection.

HIV has, effectively, a vaccination.

one thing about the Olympics is that all the athletes in the village are having a phenomenal amount of sex and so I for one think it’s only fair that Vance got to fly his own sofa over

Nah that’s actually fair, Italy has a long and proud history of poison
Not only did they bring a small private army, but among the waste of taxpayer money was BRINGING A FULL PLANE OF FOOD.

can tell a lot about the men in my mentions by how they’re responding to this post lmao
also okay this is gonna be a Spicy Take but my view on Eugenie and Beatrice being in the files is not “what did they know how dare they we must hold them responsible as 19yr olds who were involved”

It’s

“man wtf did their parents do to them that we don’t know about”

Hey all, i’m so sorry to tell you I had to say goodbye to Gigi, the grand Princess Gigila Corgila Fluffila Puppila a.k.a. Girldog, last night. It was time and it was peaceful and she got a proper sendoff from her adoring fans at the vet. Please do something your dog loves, in her honor.

so the way a French drain is supposed to work is that the excess surface water flows thru a layer of gravel under the soil and into the pipe and away to be drained. But when you skip the gravel, the membrane to keep soil out of the pipe and plant a willow tree on top… this is what you get instead!

Man my dad texted me in 2020 (early January) and was like “hey one of my trustees is going to be in London this week and wants to get lunch with you” and of course I went!! I was 29! Married! On another continent! (And it was fine the trustee is a lovely guy but like! Parents have sway!)
People still go along for lunch on parental demand at THIRTY because parents have huge emotional power. Nineteen is NOTHING.

One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
New data shows surge in trans kids’ suicides following healthcare rollbacks | Good Law Project
A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare
