"BOOK IT, WE'VE BEEN MADE!"

The skin of their back suddenly parts, made less gruesome than it sounds by the revelation of a well-hidden zipper down the spine, and fifteen ferrets spill out of the collapsing figure and dart off in all directions.

We came close to a Leonberger that I have not met in the area previously on our dog walk this morning and for some reason, despite getting activated minutes earlier by a shouty greyhound, 'spicy around other dogs' Frankie was all calm, quiet and controlled... 🤣

Realising on looking at the lineup for this evening's gig that I don't know how I would describe 'EBM' distinctly to other electronic goth music, and then when Kalt started and I immediately knew it was very traditional / old skool EBM that it's a fucking 'I know it when I see it' thing -.-

This was an excellent idea, had a great night.

Now chilling a bit for the day and back out for the third gig in Reading tonight (I'll not be going until 3am this time though!)

It’s a short profile, but it contains important nuggets of furry history:

1) Being an online community by 1996, when only 36% of U.S. houses had a computer and only 44% *of those* had Internet;

2) Profile subject was 30 y/o, currently joked as the “greymuzzle” threshold and “too old” for furry.
NY Times magazine, October 27, 1996 (page 352). It would be the first, and only mention of furries by the Times for the next 17 years.

Prompts as simple as "[name] address" immediately returned accurate home addresses of private citizens — alongside other personal info we didn't ask for.

The true scandal is not the fact that people with ADHD are seeking diagnosis but how many people waiting for diagnoses *actually have one* and are simply being refused treatment.
December 4, 2025 at 9:00 AM
I am currently on the RTC waiting list for a second ADHD diagnosis as mine was through a private provider and I was getting my prescriptions from my GP through a shared care arrangement. Which my GP has now decided to unilaterally cancel. So I need a new diagnosis or a new GP to keep getting meds.
A huge part of the reason ADHD assessment wait lists are so long is that the NHS will take any excuse to refute an already made diagnosis, including: diagnosis made abroad, in childhood, privately, or through RTC. Which means that people are having to seek a second or third diagnosis. (🧵)

The NHS: "Health sec, there is too much demand for autism, ADHD and mental health services, the waiting lists are too long, we need investment!"

One of the people leading this likely farce is Simon Wessley whose previous work includes a reasonably well debunked study of ME which was used to make it harder for sufferers to get support or recognition. Streeting knows exactly what outcome he wants from this

The Cass Review is the worst kind of pseudoscience & has at least 13 peer-reviewed critiques of it (all ignored by mainstream media).

Streeting now wants a Cass Review for Autism, ADHD, etc.

I have characterised these as “contrived authority” strategies (referring to the work of Max Weber)

Considering Streeting's well stated belief autism, ADHD etc, along with mental health issues, are "overdiagnosed", I won't hold my breath for this doing anything other than being used to cut support, along with opportunities for diagnosis, for people who need it. #r4today

Saw the orthopaedic consultant about my ankle again today as >2 months on from the sprain it is still very limiting and hurts every day.

So we've agreed to go with arthroscopy to clean out the crap visible on the MRI, with an option to do ligament reconstruction at the same time if it looks needed.
