Many of you have expressed interest at getting painted at cons (SC, NFC, FE, CFz, Pawsome). However, due to extremely high demand, I will temporarily be closing con requests.

Your best chance currently of getting a session will be outside of those times
Remaining slots available for bodypainting this year

12th, 14th Dec - Manchester area
20th, 21st Dec - no specific area

Give me a nudge on here or on TG (Dracorum Order) if interested

Ft. @badgercode.bsky.social as #95

one of the main reasons trans healthcare moved away from strict gatekeeping and toward informed consent & GAC is that trans ppl who were denied the means to transition would simply seek it out elsewhere
What did you think would happen when you restricted access to care?

If the reporting on the Peggie decision tells us anything, it should be that the way news gets reported in this country has little to do with truth, and much more to do with narrative - as well as whose heavily spun press release lands on journos desks first.

as usual this did not work, nor did "do something you want to do only slightly less than you don't want to do the thing", but "take your ADHD meds and finish the five-minute task you've been procrastinating on all day" remains undefeated as a tactic
Unsurprisingly, procrastinating all day has not made the thing I need to do spontaneously resolve itself. Maybe if I procrastinate another half hour it will?

"BOOK IT, WE'VE BEEN MADE!"

The skin of their back suddenly parts, made less gruesome than it sounds by the revelation of a well-hidden zipper down the spine, and fifteen ferrets spill out of the collapsing figure and dart off in all directions.

She compares trans people to two totally different situations. Both the other example behaviours? A breach would be criminal.

Which is telling…

We came close to a Leonberger that I have not met in the area previously on our dog walk this morning and for some reason, despite getting activated minutes earlier by a shouty greyhound, 'spicy around other dogs' Frankie was all calm, quiet and controlled... 🤣

Realising on looking at the lineup for this evening's gig that I don't know how I would describe 'EBM' distinctly to other electronic goth music, and then when Kalt started and I immediately knew it was very traditional / old skool EBM that it's a fucking 'I know it when I see it' thing -.-

This was an excellent idea, had a great night.

Now chilling a bit for the day and back out for the third gig in Reading tonight (I'll not be going until 3am this time though!)

FOMO brain: "...but what if we could?"

Just on a train back from a gig in London to a gig in Reading now 😅

It’s a short profile, but it contains important nuggets of furry history:

1) Being an online community by 1996, when only 36% of U.S. houses had a computer and only 44% *of those* had Internet;

2) Profile subject was 30 y/o, currently joked as the “greymuzzle” threshold and “too old” for furry.
NY Times magazine, October 27, 1996 (page 352). It would be the first, and only mention of furries by the Times for the next 17 years.

Prompts as simple as "[name] address" immediately returned accurate home addresses of private citizens — alongside other personal info we didn't ask for.
