Idk I think I have maybe stretched this analogy too far.

Big take aways though: yeah, the recovery was to the rougher end, but I guess that's what happens when someone rearranges your organs ;p I had complete hysto, don't know what you're going for, and it has been such an insane quality of life upgrade for me.

Mine was possibly going to be a day case, but they needed a certain amount of pee by a certain time to be able to discharge me the same day, and I had the weird experience of wanting to get a good grade in peeing (something both normal to want and possible to achieve) and failing to do it 😅

They kept me one night in the hospital and I had to call for pain meds in the night on the first night. And then took them, despite it being a syringe of oromorph and me having issues with meds / textures / unknown tastes, with minimal hesitation and questioning 😅 It eased off from there!

Yeah, I found it much worse than top surgery, pain and discomfort. I underestimated it because top had felt pretty easy.

LAST ONE AND I'M DONE

Of all the surgeries, it's the one that did the biggest number on my energy levels. Was nearly in tears for the HR call about starting back at work as I was still so exhausted I couldn't conceive of being able to do full time.

(They let me do a graduated return ❤️)

Also uh I think it was hysto that peeing afterwards was initially complicated and painful, like some wires had got crossed or something, and I struggled to fully empty my bladder at first.

Also shoulder pain is normal after; it's an effect of the air they pump into your abdomen for the surgery.

Basically there's some gentle core exercises that you can and should start within days of surgery because even with keyhole they are cutting through your abdominal wall and muscles DO NOT LIKE THAT. Doing the physio stops you getting back pain later!

OH LOOK IT ME AGAIN!! 😅🤣

Main one on gusto: make sure that you are discharged with the physio exercises. If it's NHS they might forget. If they don't give you them, DM me an email address or something and I can send you the document that I managed to get off the surgeon later.

Oh yeah, he was super chill! Frankie is dog reactive which I think is excitement coupled with terrible social skills more than aggression, but apparently she was more keen not to meet this guy than overexcited and anxious about how to say hi 🤣

She compares trans people to two totally different situations. Both the other example behaviours? A breach would be criminal.

Which is telling…

But then in the context of someone knowing that the music I like 'bleepy goth shit', how do you characterise at a high level EBM against synthpop (dance music but give it depression), darkwave (if baroque vampires used synths rather than organs), powernoise (my washing machine wrote poetry) etc. 🤣

I just want to acknowledge the appropriateness of your name for this comment.
