Come on. This is America, where corporations indoctrinate people from birth into reverence for brands. This clown isn't fooling anyone with this bullshit.
Hassett: "On one of the Sunday shows, the anchor criticized the fact Walmart said the Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper by about $10. Then he said, 'Oh yeah, but they substituted generic stuff,' as if having a generic something is a crime for ordinary folks! It shows how out of touch these people are."

deeply irresponsible for a news outlet to run a headline about anything this clown says as if it has any basis in truth

Greg is right. Dan Goldman is behind the times. His loss in June will be a good thing, but we need your help to make it happen. We’re a grassroots group in NY-10 committed to defeating Dan Goldman and sending a message to the Democratic establishment. Check out our link below to get involved. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Great thread! I'm not a DSA member, so I can't speak to those elements, but I defer to Bright!

Another big thing: in huge parts of the city, if you're a D elected (like Dan Goldman) who's NOT affiliated with the WFP or DSA, you're behind the times & you're gonna lose.

(This is, imo, a good thing.)
Since Z's election, I've been thinking about NYC's political ecosystem and the path of the Left's struggle for governing power over the past two decades.

We're in a moment where the Left's configuration of both protagonists and formations is changing; here are my current thoughts on this change.🧵

he’s a deeply ignorant, horrifically needy egoist who wants to get sole credit for sending people checks, so he’s going to immiserate millions and possibly kill thousands by destroying the heath insurance system.
NEW: Donald Trump says he wants ACA funds to end after 2025

“I’d rather not" extend them, he tells reporters on AF1. "I don’t want to extend them for two years. I’d rather not extend them at all."

He wants cash to go "directly" to people. Unclear how that'd work.

Trump says he would 'rather not' extend Obamacare tax credits 'at all'
The president said he prefers to let the Affordable Care Act subsidies expire on schedule at the end of December, saying if anything he wants the money to go to "the people directly."

Evil.
The first official confirmation that Noem herself made the decision not to turn the planes around. A couple hundred men were tortured as a result — and soon after, the Supreme Court confirmed that the Trump admin’s Alien Enemies Act process was a total violation of due process.
BREAKING:

“After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador. “

I'm not an expert on brand new digital cameras, alas. But if you're on a budget and looking into used gear, I've had good experiences with the Canon T3i (my old DSLR) and the Canon 5D Mark III (my current DSLR, which I love)...
What is a good starter camera? For birding, if I’m being honest.

I'm putting my time into @handsoffnyc.bsky.social, @bkindivisible.bsky.social, @nywfp.bsky.social, and a secret fourth group right now, ha ha!

I know that the Mamdani campaign is gonna do more organizing of their own, and that's great! But there are also DOZENS of other groups doing great stuff.
Is there still stuff that you/other campaign volunteers help with now that Mamdani has been elected? Just curious if folks were still able to help in some way.

I try to keep things as simple as I can while conveying the necessary action and the necessary emotion/attitude for each panel. If I've worked with an artist a long time, I can be more succinct. If we're creating a brand new world/characters, stuff tends to require more detail.
When scripting, what level of detail do you aim for? Or does it vary depending on which artist you're working with?
