I am an expert witness in psych and have been for years

Diagnostic clarity is my specialty

AND - people who self identify as autistic are typically correct by DSM-V-TR standards

& I think it’s over medicalized & pathologized

Just like being trans

There’s the panic overlap, too

a friend in Brisbane told me they've just had hailstones with a FOURTEEN CENTIMETRE diameter. not sure if this is climate change or just the standard everything-in-Australia-is-trying-to-kill-you stuff

decided I'm going to submit this to a Thing this morning, once it's printed obviously
transgender goddexx linocut progress: Tower Bridge & the Moon have entered the chat. if you wondering how I decide these things, a voice pops in my head that says "moon goes there" so I do it. going to have to get the Thames skyline reasonably accurate, for autism reasons

I'm currently having an email conversation about a very exciting potential job with someone who has a name I have never encountered in real life before & I only associate with the male love interest in the Mills & Boon novel we were made to read in A Level English Lit

Absolutely no comfort to anyone trapped there but this sounds like a great reason not to set up on substack in the first place for anyone else
This has lost me thousands of pounds (not to mention book sales) and put me in a state of terror and panic. I urge anyone thinking of moving their list from Substack, or wanting to know more about how Substack works, to read it....
I'm not going back to Substack. I will continue to post my newsletters from Ghost. But I did have to get back in there, just to post this and let people who thought I'd vanished know about this utter nightmare: substack.com/home/post/p-...

I learned that, for the general public in a poor northern town, there's absolutely no rhyme or reason to what art will sell and that was quite liberating, you may as well make the art you make.

related piece of unasked for advice: do not take it personally when people do or do not buy your work because people are wild (see below & following post). i had 1 woman at a market really annoyed with me bc I had no prints of hedgehogs. she stormed off. you just have to shrug & take it on the chin
I recall one customer buying a piece just for the ornate frame, which matched his living room decor. The frame had come from a skip near the artists house, glued together and resprayed(!) People bought pieces bc they'd buy anything with a horse on it, or

treated myself to a coffee at the leisure centre & v much enjoyed listening to some people talk about an exhibition, playing artist bingo:
"I could have done that in 2 minutes"
"why would you want that on your wall"
"I wouldn't take a child to see it - not suitable!"
"I couldn't believe the prices!"

Brilliant photo.

Alt text: a morning street scene in Cork city. On the buildings, three clocks are visible. They read 8.56, 9.03, and 9.10. Cork people would tell you that any one of these times counts as CMT and will be followed when the revolution comes.
Time in Cork is always relative. #AboutNine
