Yeah this wasn't remotely what I expected, but I always try to test before visiting my mam and nana if i feel in anyway sick and sure enough, it was covid.
But it was pretty much only head cold symptoms

Sinanju is ok if you glue some parts but before I did it was a nightmare. Always pieces falling off.

My runny nose is nearly completely gone at this point. When I felt like I was on the mend by Monday, I decided not to go for paxlovid. Just lots of water and occasional paracetamol.

Never built the original, but the new RG is a pleasure to build. Small parts but it just feels extremely thoughtfully engineered.

I'd still probably place either of the Nu Gundams or the Sazabi above it, for RGs, but it's up there as one of the better ones IMO (sinanju & Zeta were worst)

Especially given that I'm in a couple of the high risk groups, it's been a source of anxiety, so to have avoided the worst of it is a huge relief.

Built 2 model kits and watched 2 seasons of TNG so it wasnt a total waste of time lol

Nearly clear on my tests now.

Being isolated in a room without a TV or chair for several days was pretty depressing, but I feel like I was remarkably lucky with how gentle my 1st brush with covid was.

Basically just had a stuffy nose/ head cold, no other symptoms at all. Very grateful.

Buried in Altman's post is the real story: "People are generating much more than we expected per user," using massive compute resources on content that's often being generated for very small audiences (it is, after all, a social media app). OpenAl will "have to somehow make money for video generation," Altman wrote. Translation: Sora is burning through compute costs with no offsetting revenue.
Altman floated a potential solution: "We are going to try sharing some of this revenue with rightsholders who want their characters generated by users." The idea-perhaps similar to You Tube's ad-monetization program for videos that include copyrighted material
-would give studios a financial incentive to opt in.
"The exact model will take some trial and error to figure out," Altman acknowledged, "but we plan to start very soon."

Fun update on the James Mulligan situation, If you don't know he is the alleged AI/ Plagiarism Disney artist
I guess he didn't like my coverage of the topic. He is attempting to remove any trace of his alleged bad behavior from the internet. We of course will fight this as it falls under fair use
