We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.

Local assisted living facilities are taking additional security measures because the residents don’t want their care to be interrupted when ICE abducts their staff. Schools are closed for the safety of students, faculty, and staff. There is no facet of society or stage of life unaffected.
Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced today that their offices, alongside the Minnesota BCA, will pursue an independent investigation into the fatal shooting of Renee Good by ICE agent Jonathan Ross.

Lukewarm drawing take incoming, but for years I thought I had an easier time drawing women. I still hear this all the time from other artists, and I’m sure everyone has their reasons. But I don’t feel that way anymore after reassessing which bodies I felt comfortable making up.
