Whipple was on a list last year to be sold off by the General Services Administration. This prompted Senators Klobuchar, Smith to write a letter to GSA stating if closed “it will cause immediate harm to Minnesota veterans and military readiness”.
It's now an ICE detention/enforcement facility.

Every time something local happens where I react by over-vigilantly sharing the news on my feed, I hem and haw for a couple minutes about whether I need to make a separate account for my personal stuff and work stuff before deciding I don’t care lol
