The Nguyễn pronunciation question!
Person on Threads asks for help pronouncing my last name. My reply: The reason there are like eight different pronunciations of Nguyễn proffered to English speakers is because there are several sounds we know they can’t really hear, let alone repeat. So most of us kinda cobble together sounds we know they can make.
