I was basically bred for this in a lab (my mom is an illustrator, my dad a writer)
But the first dream was to do comics, until I realized that no one would pay me a living wage to do them *slowly and meticulously* 🪦

it's funny how some versions of your own work you kinda shed as you go along- I'm still proud of these sketches from 2014 from what eventually became Shardbound, but in a lot of ways it's a look & feel I've grown away from

I think even for people who aren't artists, there are many who enjoy art as a human feat of skill and expression even if they are doing no art creation themselves. Even if AI art was better then human art, and it's not, no one gives a shit that a forklift can carry more then a weightlifter.
