It definitely came together in an excellent way.
But I'll be honest that I kinda preferred seasons 1 and 2 before the overarching narrative started to take form.

I liked when the stories seemed less connected and more random.
But still. Very good stuff. They were cooking.

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

wrote 20 pages on Faulkner's The Bear four hours before final papers were due on trucker pills and coffee and cigarettes and got an A, fuck you.

It definitely bothers me that some previously very bright minds in cinema have decided to embrace the LEAST CREATIVE OPTION AVAILABLE going forward.

But I'm absolutely going to resent them for trying to sell me on the idea that this is the most innovative way forward.

If a major director or production house uses AI, I'm just going to assume that they're cheap.

And, not, like, in a SMART way.
In a lazy way.

There's lots of ways to do incredible film/tv VERY CHEAPLY.
The problem is, it requires effort, thought, and creativity.

And that's where they're bankrupt.
