Home to play with new art bits - a selection of nibs, a fancier nib holder I absolutely didn't mean to leave in my cart but oh well, some new white ink, and some lil jars in a stand, suitable for decanting ink into rather than dipping directly into the containers (as I have been).

Brethen’s Sky Island Archipelago

A cluster of seven sky islands over the Hazel Hills, Brethen's islands support a small number of buildings but has never been an important stop for aerial travellers.

(next map will be the large structure on the right)

I’ve done it! My Atlas of Faerûn, created for the #DnD supplement ‘Heroes of Faerûn’, is ready for exploring. Available exclusively from my print gallery, It’s an epically sized #RPG #fantasymap & the digital version comes with labeled and unlabeled options included. Huzzah!

Afternoon crew: take a peek at my new post!
Good morning friends!

There's a new article over on my blog that has been waiting for about a month now - which has been hard, because I really enjoyed inventing it and I feel like it is some of my best drawings maybe.

Time to go hang with Dyson, friends! Chill to the music, chat about elves or whatever, see the mapmeister at work!
Time to draw the dungeons!

I'm working on this small dungeon and cave complex today before we move on to something new.

I stream my cartography every Mon / Wed / Fri from 1 to 4pm Eastern (UTC-5) on Twitch

Drop on in and say Hi!

Slush Post 2025!

Not every idea is enough for a full post so, like a stew, ya scrape everything into a pot a claim it was planned.

Another cool book my library decommissioned is this pocket-sized 1971 guide book to Rome - the back cover unfolds into this attached map of the city and surrounds.

Who can resist a hidden period map?

I am currently looking for work! Writing, design, editing and proofreading for tabletop games and just about anything else besides.

I've worked with indie giants and first-time self-publishers and I always smash it. Some examples below.

Email in bio, get in touch, let's make stuff x

I'm very proud of this book. It was a lot of work, scattered over a few years. A ton of thought went into it. Damn sure not bidding to be the new hot OSR clone, I just wanted my house rules and setting in a book I could whip out and use when I feel like it. I achieved the goal. [pats self on back]
#BPPB
Classes included in this book: Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, Thief, Botten (machine people), Lizz (little lizard people), Elf, Dwarf, and Skeleton Warrior.

I don't always play #OSR, but when I do I do it like this.

Spent my morning doodling with dip pens. Spent my afternoon tidying house. Cooking dinner now, but after that, I think it's time to get to work and draw some more actual illustrations on my list.

My library sells off donated and withdrawn stuff on weekends. I picked these up yesterday.

The Sword and Candlemass are regular rotation for me but Mutoid Man was completely new to me and bought unheard based solely on vibes. I've since listened, pretty good!

If you're doing art for pay, learn how to craft an invoice. And within that, understand the importance of having well constructed terms and conditions of use, including licensing options. When you're evaluating your rates, understand that you want them to help you grow, not just statically produce.
