Quentin Crisp once said something about how you can only really be yourself if you live alone, and I think there's some truth to that. But you can also do it by living with a cat: so long as they have food and a warm lap to sleep on, they don't care what your "true" self is like.

I don't understand how there are people who can understand that what is happening to Ukraine is unjust but at the same time don't care about Palestine, or even support the Israeli govt. You're either against imperialism and occupation, or you're not.

This must produce a hell of a lot of cognitive dissonance. Do they just ignore large parts of the Bible? Many of them seem hyper-focused on Revelations because they want even more slaughter in the Middle East because something something... Jesus would come back if that happened.
