Maybe instead of forcing everyone to play babysitter and risking our data and livelihood, they should, y'know, TALK TO THEIR KIDS?! Like actual parents?!
"As a parent, I am deeply concerned about what my child is accessing online. Albeit not enough to check or to install some very basic software that would prevent them from accessing dodgy material online. That's why the Online Safety Act is so important."

sounds really boring tbh. caffeine is great stuff.
Cafes across the U.S. are embracing the low- and no-caffeine lifestyle, with options that are a far cry from dusty tea bags and rewarmed decaf. nyti.ms/3XKlqoj

starting to feel like there's a direct relationship between the growing obsession with lifestyle hygeine (no drinking, no caffeine, no sex, obsessive working out and looksmaxxing) and the inability to meaningful moral stands on issues of actual import

Ah hah, you fools, you imbeciles, that forensic KC is actually a complete rube, and for that reason he should stay on as PM
I think Starmer had the wool pulled over his eyes

We are managed externally by another country that knows less about us than it does about the vagaries of an average US presidential primary. It is time to grow up and start recognising this fact.

The entire internet had seen the picture of Mandleson and Epstein trying on belts when he was given the ambassadorship. There is absolutely no way Starmer didn't know more than us, and we knew enough to know this was a disgusting choice. The best you an say about him is he is craven idiot.

Whether he resigns or not, what I'll remember Starmer for the most is his abject cowardice.
Whatever happens after, though, I will not miss Keir Starmer.

Describing the Ring surveillance state Super Bowl commercial as “Batman Technology” is legitimately funny
We finally got something Bri'ish on the top of the trending tab.

I’m adding Sir Keir Starmer, Hammer Of The Porn, as an NPC to my next D&D campaign
Yeah but that would be a difficult conversation for boring cishet men to have with their boring cishet wives, so we need Sir Keir Starmer, Hammer of the Porn.
This was my first thought too.
Heck, if they don't want it to be a blanket restriction from the ISP, it's not hard to find a WiFi router that will let you white list individual devices for the porn if they really must.

OK well in an ideal world it would only be used to locate missing cats and puppies. But we don't live in an ideal world, so it's a no from me.
Here's that Ring #SuperBowl commercial:

See this is why my conspiracy is that they want Starmer to stay because him losing at the next GE will be blamed on the fact he's useless rather than that their policies were deeply unpopular (failing to even win over the Right-Wing they want to appeal to) & only further mainstreamed Reform's goals.

On top of this, it wouldn't have been anywhere near as dramatic a landslide if the Tory vote hadn't been split w Reform.
"But McSweeney was there when Labour won a landslide..." babe the Tories were so profoundly unpopular at that stage that a donkey with a red rosette would have won Labour a landslide victory.

Texting with my dad earlier and ever the optimist he says he can see Ed Miliband taking over from Starmer lol. I say Streeting, but I'm not an optimist. But I suppose you have to be an optimist if you've been involved with the labour movement for 60 years.

I'll always remember listening to Bisexuality's "Newsweek" EP for the first time: "Cappuccino vs Cowboys," and "Inside the White House" were such a fresh new sound, I was stunned. And then... then it hits me with "Not Gay. Not Straight. A New Sexual Identity Emerges." It was downright mind-blowing.
If you're young or not super online (UNLIKELY)
you may not know this was a real fuckin' Newsweek cover

Tim Allan, who just quit as Starmer's director of comms, was on the board of the trans-eliminationist hate group "Sex Matters", whose director of advocacy Helen Joyce urged transphobes to get through to "decision makers" so that the "numbers" of trans people could be "reduced." That's what they did.
One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
New data shows surge in trans kids’ suicides following healthcare rollbacks | Good Law Project
A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare
