As far as interesting Jock types, my inciniroar is put into the beach guardian role with creating peace and harmony on the beach. Community and relaxing is the core of his character instead of competitive sports. He's into surfing, but it's about the zen harmony and not competition.

I think the topic the book wanted to talk about was the inability of queer athletes being able to come out because of the intense homophobia and toxic masculinity in them.

Currently, we are in an oppressive state where physical ability is tied to physical sex, which dictates gender expectations.

I think I read the first book, but IDK if I read it all the way through?

Sports, especially American Football, is a hard sell for me. Sports were very Offputting for younger me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a hot buff jock, but I feel there are so many other things you can do with the body type.
