Keep in mind this isn't me trying to defend Mamdani. There are far more pressing issues regarding him then simply being a member of the democratic party, as you've mentioned in some of your other posts. I'm talking fairly broadly here.

Don't get me wrong, I see how capitalism directly conflicts with democracy and, while no society is perfect, the version of democracy we have under capitalism is pretty shit.

But, if someone is genuinely trying to get somewhere through the admittedly very broken system, I don't see that as wrong.

How do you think an actual socialist can or should approach running for election? Wouldn't running independently be a losing battle? And if a person with "pure" socialist beliefs ran as a dem, would you still think lowly of them for using the party as a sort of stepping stone? Genuinely asking.

I think Bubsy 1 was really good with a few glaring flaws. 2 was a mess but a lovable one with heart, and the Jaguar game I haven't put time into yet, but I like what I've played.
I personally feel he stood out as a character and wasn't just another platformer. I'm really excited for the new one :3

Attached is a screenshot of a Truth Social post from Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump). In it, Trump claims there were three “sinister events” at the United Nations:

1. An escalator to the Main Speaking Floor suddenly stopped, nearly causing him and Melania to fall.

2. His teleprompter failed just before his speech, forcing him to speak without it until it came back on 15 minutes later.

3. The sound was reportedly cut in the auditorium, so world leaders couldn’t hear his remarks without interpreter earpieces.

He calls this “triple sabotage,” demands an investigation, and says the Secret Service is involved. The post ends with Trump saying he’s sending a copy of his letter to the UN Secretary General.
