I think being able to articulate my thoughts about game design has been useful in that it helps me communicate things more clearly, especially in videos

I refuse to accept the new definition of “industry plant” (a forced, sudden mainstream push of an artist) because that definition doesn’t really distinguish many artists from each other lol
The ORIGINAL definition was actually useful because it was far more specific

One way developers like to simplify is to take weirdness out of character-nuance and transfer it into system-mechanics, because system-mechanics are Universal, and so there's just less specificity involved in getting to grips with them quickly. But you can imagine the problems that come of that...

I don’t think there’s a future where any series will “reset” on this, but I think it’s become very obvious that having fewer system mechanics usually makes for a more dynamic fighting game

The problem with a lot of people who love to argue is that not only are they not good at it, but they're seemingly purposefully not good at it and their aim is more to try to catch someone on a gotcha rather than actually say something. Arguments just tend to not be a great way to say things.
