Bro that is absolutely the best ever you're great

Yeah, but I do appreciate how a game can have a long ass honeymoon period.

I think a recent one of that happened for Year 1 SF6, Tekken 7 season 1&2, etc. but nowadays not many get to have that and the honeymoon phase is already over after 2-3 week LOL

It's one if my bigger hurdles to accept if I do wanna start streaming more.

Like how much of that feels like a bubble and you ALWAYS got to stay on top of stuff.

I feel like this is not much of a bigger deal if you were a YouTube creator first, and streamer second.

The year is 2025. Over 70k people are playing the new Digimon Story RPG right now on PC alone, probably over 100k all platforms combined. There's a very real shot the game has already sold over 1 million copies; and if it hasn't yet, it will very, very soon.

Bro that PSP vs NDS discussion the other day was a good example of that LMAO

Japan, the place where they invented the word Otaku to be derogatory.

It would be cool to compare video game histories and cultures in different regions, I don't get why some people are so aggressive about what they grew up with being the most important

This vid genuinely helped shape my approach as a Roman Catholic—it reminded me not to put dogma or tradition above that core question.

Sadly, some people or communities never reach that point and instead default straight to zealotry.

It seems like a really simple thing but being very INTENTIONAL about this is a big part of how I live my life

and a lot of people are not very intentional about asking themselves this. Even people who generally mean well.

I am not a pacifist. But as a Christian I do filter a lot of views through the prism of, "Does this harm people?" And if it does, that should make a Christian hesitate. It should mean something. It should give you pause. That simple question of, does this hurt or heal people?

good morning

It comes to a point where being too much of an insider on things makes you more blind/anxious to the more human/natural aspects of the creation process.

It becomes a spiral that people never wanna leave in LMAO

Yeah so when people have talked about the crash I've been pointing out that the western games biz has been crashing for years, it's just crashing slowly. The EA buyout will speed things up quite a bit, though.

Ubisoft: Dead
EA: Terminally ill with 20 billion dollars of debt, Dead
Activision: having organs sold on liveleak every day, also probably terminally ill
Bethesda: see above

All that's left is for WB to crumple WB Games and toss it into the bin and the western gaming industry has a pin put in it

For me. I’ve come to find that the healthiest middle ground is “create for people like me”

Doesn’t ignore the expression aspect of creating but also acknowledges that I’m not for everybody.

"Create for yourself" is great and all but no one wants to feel like no one cares and you're just screaming into the void

What happens when socially awkward folks with big platforms drive the discourse.

Nerds start lashing out and now that their games are gaining mainstream attention, they feel like they’re losing something and treat it as a personal attack.
