i mean the *clothing brand itself,* to be clear

wearing a band t-shirt to signal your music taste, as a human being with personality, is cool

but if i purchase a hoodie, for the purpose of functioning as a hoodie, why the @#$% does it need the brand of the hoodie-maker bedecking it (it does not)

i see this as a categorical difference, a wearable signaling your sports fandom can indeed be a fun, whole social/personality indicator

whereas if i buy a plain ol' regular hoodie, i do not need the logo of the company who made the hoodie on the hoodie

it just needs to be a hoodie

Yeah. I think, as passionate as you can be about a piece of art and that passion being valid, once you choose that art (especially something like a TV series, video game, etc.) as your *cause* to defend and champion... I dunno, I think you gotta look around and realize the world's a little bigger.
