PALESTINE 36 feels similarly necessary as a historic recounting, but the overstuffed screenplay is spread far too thin to be dramatically compelling outside of the film’s real world associations. Lacks propulsion.

To watch One Battle After Another in a theater is to experience a monumental new piece of art in real time. Historic, huge, & really unexpectedly powerful. PTA directs at a huge scale that still feels tactile & ground-level. Amazing performances all around. I laughed, I cried...it exceeds the hype.
