The one time I wish I had a camera ... I was working my way up a gully beside a stout fence when 10 of these cleared my gully in a single bound ... spread out in the air like playing cards. Magnificent and imprinted on my brain. Wish I could paint.

The aperture of this lens is also 2 stops lower (this at F/4.5) than the one supplied on the camera (F/6.3) which will allow lower light conditions and maybe even shallow depth of field for better bokeh type portrait shots.

If anything is non functional on that camera I just happen to have this baby on hand that should fit right in place of the 120mm lens supplied. This is a 75mm lens and a better focal length for portrait as well as landscape shots and had a wider shooting speed to 1/250th second.

90% of what you see on the camera is just a box to hold the film and the bellows to put distance from the lens, ALL controls (bar that focusing distance minor shift of the bellows) are on the lens. Shutter speed, aperture, timer and shutter button ... all on the lens.

Call me nuts if you must but this is now MINE, a 1930 Zeiss Icon Ikonta 520/2 and I don't care if it never works. I have a plan to use it to teach a young fella the real ins and outs of photography, measuring the distance to target, testing the light, selecting film and speeds.

One of my tricks is ¨calling all cats¨ which she used to attend diligently before the last drop. Not responding as yet but she will and comes morning and evening for biscuits and yummies ... this is her feed and water spot.

Everything calm ... last lot she dropped in a bush near our front door and for a week she hissed as we passed, high stress so moved them. She is under a neigbour´s house atm, a place she knows to be safe ... she will bring them here sooner this time I am sure if stress levels remain low.

Too many cats here would claim such a spot first. Eventually when they need solids she will come in and better for her stress levels not defending the nest. ATM she comes in and straight up on my lap without hesitation so want to keep here on that level not even hissing at the other cats.

The one exception with Cally´s last batch is Snowy (our keeper) who I tease mercilessly as he nibbles by pulling his ears and such and is showing signs of enjoying the exercise. Snowy is a totally BOLD cat and ambushes even his grandmother fearlessly.
