Last month I participated in Cirntember hosted by @cappu.cirno.rocks ! I used my entry to reminisce about 20-years-ago internet.

The neat thing about Touhou is you can't say you're totally disconnected from it. If you were an internet denizen around 2007-ish, you liked something with Touhou in it.

A drawing of Cirno from Touhou surrounded by various old internet memes remade to look like Cirno as well. Cirno's colours and style are also a reference to her first appearance in Touhou EoSD when she looked more turquoise. The older memes around Cirno include The Convenience Store Song, Overdrive, Cheetahmen, Leekspin, Automatic Mario, Kirby Dance, Over 9000, Lucky Star, and Yukkuri. Cirno is also leaning out from an old style Youtube video player.

During stream I was stumped on what to do for Arle's eyes, then remembered I wanted to draw Carbuncle somewhere, and then figured oh hey Carbuncle can be the eye details.

Saying this cuz like, I felt smart doing that, and it's little feelings like that, that makes drawing art so worth it.
