In this spot, they've snaked out from a back yard and lodged itself under a front stoop along the sidewalk. They keep yanking it & it keeps growing back.

Well, once they get established, it can be hard to eradicate. They also sprawl and spill all over everything. It has a messy habit. People in the city grow in planters & small spaces and it often goes monster mode on them.

I checked up on the wallplant #WaxBegonia (Begonia cucullata) again yesterday. It has more flowers now.

It's always possible that I have seen them and wrote them off without close inspection as Ailanthus. From a distance, I had thought this was one, passing it a few times, preoccupied with the surrounding Goldenrod. I eventually noticed what it was while standing practically over it today.

Not a crackplant, but I was surprised to notice a Staghorn Sumac (Rhus typhina) growing in Snyder Plaza. I've seen them along Columbus but this is the first one I've noticed further into the city from the river.
