My position is clear: I will not allow Republicans to raise health care costs and slash coverage for millions of Americans while they give billionaires even bigger tax breaks.

I work for the hardworking people of Pennsylvania, NOT the ultra-rich.
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
America's civil servants had nothing to do with the Republicans' government shutdown.

Trump doesn't care. He's using the shutdown he caused to attack our neighbors' livelihoods and gut critical services.

That's why he told Republicans not to negotiate. He wanted this all along.

"To Donald Trump, this is just another excuse for an attempt to seize more power for himself."

Ranking Member @congressmanboyle.bsky.social on Trump and Vought's illegal firings amid the Republican shutdown:
Boyle Statement on Trump-Vought Illegal
Firings Amid Shutdown
Republicans would rather shut down the government than help millions of Americans afford health care.
Now, Donald Trump and Russell Vought are using the shutdown they created as a pretext to fire federal workers. This illegal attempt to fire hardworking public servants shows that this shutdown is exactly what Republicans wanted all along. To Donald Trump, this is just another excuse for an attempt to seize more power for himself.
Instead of threatening Americans' livelihoods, Republicans should be working with us to end this shutdown and protect the American people from the health care crisis they inflicted on them.

World Mental Health Day is a good time to recognize that not all struggles are visible — which is why I'll keep working to improve access to mental health care.

Let's remember to take care of ourselves and reach out to others when we need help. You are never alone.
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
I'm sick and tired of Trump and Russell Vought gleefully demonizing and attacking federal workers.

These folks are our neighbors and friends. They keep America running.

Trump and the billionaires in his cabinet could learn a thing or two from our AFGE neighbors.

No money for health care for Americans, but $20 billion for Argentina?!?
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
The proud working people of Philadelphia, of Pennsylvania, and across the nation are loud and clear: don't let Republicans steal our health care.

I won't back down in this fight. We must save health care for millions of Americans and end this Republican shutdown.
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
We're over a week into an entirely avoidable Republican shutdown.

But they refuse to negotiate because they don't care about the consequences.

My neighbors can't wait — premiums are rising right now. Pennsylvanians can't afford even higher health care prices.
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
I introduced the Federal Employees Civil Relief Act alongside @repemilyrandall.bsky.social.

Our bill protects federal employees who are furloughed or required to work without pay during shutdowns.

American civil servants shouldn't pay the price for this Republican shutdown.
Boyle Introduces Bill to Protect Federal Workers from Financial Hardship During Government
Shutdowns
Federal workers should never face eviction, foreclosure, or financial ruin because of a lapse in government funding.
This bill makes clear that when the government shuts down, the people who keep it running deserve basic protections and peace of mind.

I've been asking Philadelphians to share how Trump's health care crisis is hurting them.

Our neighbors shouldn't be forced to pick between their health and making ends meet — which is why I'm fighting like hell to protect your health care from Republican attacks.
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
I gotta admit, Donald Trump is right. This shutdown is about health care.

My team had a wonderful time at State Senator Tartaglione's Senior Expo, sharing information on Medicare & Social Security.

Trump and Republicans refuse to negotiate and have canceled session again this week.

Republicans don't want to reopen the government — they are happy to kick millions of Americans off their health care and let premiums skyrocket for millions more.
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
First, Republicans shut down the government because they refuse to protect health care for millions of Americans.

Then, they canceled session for this week.

Now, they're not even bothering to bring the House back into session next week!

House Republicans certainly aren’t working for you.

🚨🚨The House reading clerk just read a letter from House Speaker Mike Johnson where he declares a 'District Work Period' from October 7 to October 13.

That would mean no votes in the House until mid-month.

Republicans would rather shut the government down than protect Americans' health care, but my offices remain open as a resource to the people of Pennsylvania's 2nd District.

Sickened to learn of the antisemitic attack at a synagogue in the UK during Yom Kippur services. My prayers are with the victims and their families. Praying also for peace and safety for all those observing the highest holy day in the Jewish faith.

Republicans control the House.
Republicans control the Senate.
Republicans control the White House.

But Trump and congressional Republicans would rather shut down the government than protect your health care.

Sending best wishes to everyone in Philadelphia and around the world observing Yom Kippur this evening. May this time be filled with reflection, forgiveness, and hope for the year ahead. G'mar Chatima Tovah!

Americans in Pennsylvania and across the country will suffer because of the Trump-Republican health care crisis.

Millions will lose their care, and millions more will pay higher costs.

But instead of stopping this crisis, Republicans would rather shut down the government.
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
Trump and Republicans passed tax breaks for billionaires while cutting health care for over 30,000 of my neighbors.

They care so little about Pennsylvanians and Americans everywhere, they'd rather shut the government down instead of stopping those cuts.

Shameful.

Boyle Statement on the Trump-Republican
Government Shutdown
Donald Trump and Republicans would rather shut down the government than help millions of Americans afford health care.
The Trump-Republican health care crisis is already here. Families across the country are watching their premiums skyrocket, and millions of Americans stand to lose coverage altogether, all while billionaires pocket another massive tax break.
I will not stand by while Republicans rip health care away from people in Pennsylvania and across
America.
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
I won’t stand by while Republicans rip health care from my neighbors in Philly and hardworking families across America.

Trump’s health care crisis is kicking millions off coverage, jacking up costs for millions more, and padding the pockets of his billionaire buddies. It's vile.
congressmanboyle.bsky.social
I showed up to Washington ready to avert a shutdown — but Republicans locked the door to the House of Representatives.

Republicans could open Congress up and solve this, but they would rather take health care from millions of their constituents.
