Here's the latest update of the House legislative calendar. Summer break was July 24-September 1. Epstein Files / shutdown break will be Sept. 20 to at least October 20. (3 work weeks out of 9 weeks)

The government shutdown will go into next week for sure - as the Senate is taking a long holiday weekend. Senators won't have votes again until Tuesday. By then, it will be Day 14 of the shutdown. (No one knows when the House is coming back.)

The ironic part about this post from Trump is that House Republican leaders have done all they can to bend the rules to prevent any vote to overturn Trump's tariffs.

Republicans still have the U.S. House on break this week - but don't be fooled - there is a lot of work that lawmakers could be doing.

The House has approved just 3 of the 12 government funding bills. That means 9 other bills still need a vote.

Back on April 2, Speaker Johnson swore in 2 House Republicans - during a pro forma session - who were elected the day before. Anyone who says Adelita Grijalva D-AZ can only be sworn in when the House is back and voting is lying to you.

Two hours later, GOP tells reporters Grijalva won't be sworn in until the government shutdown is over.

Soon after the document handoff, Sen. Johnson is seen on security cameras carrying documents in a folder. But the fake elector folders never got to VP Pence. "We have been informed the VP cannot accept any unsealed mail and I cannot hand it to him," Johnson texted. 5/

How did Johnson's office get the fake elector documents from Michigan and Wisconsin? They were handed over by an aide to Rep. Mike Kelly R-PA in a document dump that took place across the street from the U.S. Supreme Court - on Jan. 6. 3/
