I grew up in Clontarf, so not in those categories!
Yeah, I've always thought that's what they were referring to, but I think that's too late - I was in 5th class in 1993. Maybe it was only said to my little brothers. Mixing up the UDA and IRA isn't odd though - everything was the fault of the IRA. They may as well have been reading the Brit papers.
Trick or Treat was replacing Help The Halloween Party in my part of Dub when I was growing up (very early 90s). But my siblings and I weren't allowed use Trick or Treat. According to my parents the IRA had said it before a shooting. But they were SIndo readers, so everything was the fault of the IRA
The signs warned that you'd be removed from the venue without warning or refund if using it. But plenty of people were taking photos with no problems. So maybe the signs were put up for an American artist and just left up.

Totally wild to me that Irish politics ends up being #2 in trending on Bluesky. Congrats to Catherine Connolly on her win as the new Irish President and looking forward to Bluesky having more globally representative trends in the future!

Why would I bitch to starmer? I don't live in the UK. I live in Ireland. They are separate countries.
Massachusetts is in the USA. Ireland is not in the UK. So the comparison doesn't work.

Allow yourself to celebrate even the smallest of victories in the face of adversity. Don't snuff out a light because it is not bright enough. Nurture it, and fight to make it grow until the shadows retreat. Even the greatest beacons may be lit with the smallest spark.

This is possibly the all-time funniest real answer to an interview question
Tommy Ten Names was born in Britain with a British father. He is not an immigrant. He happens to be also an Irish citizen as his mother is Irish.
I wish we'd gotten a new constitution and education act excluding mention of god. That would have gotten my vote. I was too young to vote in that election though. Was only 15.
At least he's not saying Eire (spelling very much intended) in the way that they do.
