i like that insane movie
coreyatad.com
apparently this movie was number one for its week at the box office for three weeks. it was a real box office success, nominated for Oscars. crazy what they were up to in the '70s.
coreyatad.com
that’s where the Blonde of it all comes in
coreyatad.com
prepare your pitchforks: movie’s got Blonde energy

in honour of Diane Keaton, i’m finally watching this Looking for Mr. Goodbar 4K from Vinegar Syndrome that i blind bought
coreyatad.com
lmao this one ends by teasing that maybe she would appear in the next film if they make one which they won’t
coreyatad.com
but Jamelle, they *are* American people
coreyatad.com
she thinks you’re so cool!
coreyatad.com
took my mom to see One Battle After Another and she absolutely died laughing at the raped-in-reverse semen demon scene
coreyatad.com
too many icons dying

came out of OBAA to this terrible news
coreyatad.com
this is true, though even then i’ve found people almost don’t want to believe it, because it still *sounds* crazy
coreyatad.com
you’re assuming any of those people are properly aware of the extent of it. they’re aware of controversy, but especially these days they don’t see controversy as disqualifying.

but even the tweets, like i’m not sure they realize she spends 90% of her time straight up picking on trans people on Twitter. it’s like, oh what’s a few bad tweets? no big deal.
coreyatad.com
there are people out there who probably aren’t politically correct on trans stuff, who would still be totally weirded out by Rowling’s deranged radicalism if they knew about it

try to explain it, though, and it all sounds to a normal person like arcane Twitter shit

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: i don’t think most people are aware of just how extreme Rowlings views and actions are
coreyatad.com
yeah, the nuns, Deandra was likely a more filled out character, i wouldn't be surprised if there was more business with Sergio actually. also, i can imagine that prologue playing closer to an hour and not being nearly as good.

i figure a lot of it was just removing dialogue. every character feels shaved down to the bone, except for Penn and the Christmas adventurers, and Leo's phone calls. it's amazing that Leo and Chase have exactly one scene together before the ending. incredible storytelling economy.

would really have no idea. it's tough with PTA, because he often cuts out a lot from his movies, but it's so seamless. watching the deleted scenes from The Master, it's almost impossible to tell where they'd fit in the movie. i do wonder if there was originally some action with the nuns.
coreyatad.com
no, i will not tell you how many times this has been
coreyatad.com
lmao, probably seeing OBAA again today, first time not in full IMAX, because my mom wants to go
coreyatad.com
and worse than that? there’s just something about the vibe of the movie early on that indicates that’s how they’re gonna do it. and that’s not even getting into it doing the Weapons structure, but like never getting new relevant information?
