They send someone here to do the maintenance, and if its something bigger they'll jusr swap machines. We're also not that far (in a straight line) from their base so sometimes if something happens that grounds it they'll send another to do crew change to not impact safety or drilling too much.

1) yes it seems someone else added a helicopter haha
2) thats the risk that was in discussion (watch the line when slinging)
3) it stays as long as there's drilling, which the last couple years is mid Feb to mid April, and back mid june through October.

Added to my doodles as the originals persist lol
Whiteboard doodles in blue on a large white board, on the left a list with "Road Priority" written above a doodle of a fuel tanker truck with 1. Things that explode, a doodle of a grader and dump truck and 2. Things that are heavy, and a doodle of a pickup and 3. Your small truck written out. To the right there is a depiction of a helicopter with an object on a line below that is about to strike an unaware worker smoking a cigarette

I was digging through photos and remembered this one from a couple years ago at the gas station down the roadthat looked all cyberpunk
A rural gas station is illuminated in the dark on a snowy day by a single bright lamp, with neon signs casting coloured glow onto the snow. There are blurry snow flakes whizzing by and a glowing, illegible sign in the background.

Important update: Echo and I will not be at #BLFC as planned. Alt txt/ img for details.
Hi everyone, life update from Laughing Coyote Homestead.
Not only are we grieving the loss of several members of our chicken flock, including beautiful Brave, a rooster I raised from hatching 5 years ago, but life has thrown us an even harder curve ball.
Last night, moments after we pulled our 8-year anniversary pie out of the oven, Echo and I noticed our cat, Nebby, in distress. Turns out that the coolest, sweetest cat in the world had his very first bout of urinary crystals. The night before we were to leave on a 2 day road trip to BLFC. We must attend conventions to pay our bills-- and they're our only chance to see many of our found family and closest friends-- but now, we have to stay home. We must watch over Nebby, administer meds, and find ways to increase his fluid intake to prevent this from happening in the future. I knew male cats struggled with this problem, but even my best at prevention wasn't enough. It is what it is.
We must allow ourselves to love, even if it hurts sometimes. So. What this means for us is we'll be working harder to make cool art from home, running sales and maybe streams and opening commissions, so we can make it through to January for Further Confusion. (We may not even get selling tables there, either, but will shoot for what we can.) Our life is a financial hopscotch from convention to art fair to convention, and missing a step is going to be quite a leap indeed.

If you appreciate what Echo and I do, whether it be the experimental art, farming, local political activism, or what have you, now would be a fantastic time to help. There’s also lots of inexpensive digital downloads on my PayHip, where you can get crafts to make, sketchbook compilations, and ebooks. Anything helps to recoup the cost of needing to miss a huge chunk of our yearly income. Thank you for your support: the only reason our studio runs at all is because of you. And now it's time to get to work! Stay tuned for announcements for shop sales and commission openings.

I FINISHED a real media art? Sounds insane but I did! My fursona wearing what I wore to my last cigar social (this past weekend). I love being a gay little canid. Prismacolor markers on textured sketchbook paper.
A humanoid coyote sits relaxing with a cigar. They are wearing a crop top with a fox, a strappy pair of underwear and thigh high striped socks. They have purple and pink hair.
