*Call for Submissions*

In Feb we submitted a proposal to be part of a programme of ‘special edition’ events hosted by the National Poetry Library. We recently learnt our submission was accepted & we have been invited to take part in an online health-themed poetry showcase on 19/11/25!
Through reaching out to others, it became clear to us that the name cRxeate wasn’t the easiest to say or spell! So we have been working hard on a new name, a new logo & some exciting events to take us into the autumn!
From our glorious summer Poetry Picnic event to our upcoming Draw to Unwind art workshops, our aim is to nurture a space full of creative ideas & opportunities for all, no matter what stage of your medical or creative journey!
*Introducing Creative Clinic*

Recently we have been working hard to champion creativity as a wellbeing tool for medics.
Happy writing in the meantime.

We can’t wait to hear your poems!

Nicola and Aruna,
Crxeate team.
We know it takes courage to share your work so please know we will treat your words with care, respect & gratitude. You make this community what it is. With that in mind, this online event will be open to public & free to book so we hope you will join us & we will share when info becomes available.
We are looking forward to receiving your submissions & will endeavour to include as much of your work as possible though, given time restriction, we hope you will understand that it may not be possible to include all the work we receive.
Send us a video of you reading your own poem on the theme ‘Beyond the Bedside’.
video must be filmed in landscape & should be max 2 mins long.
You can introduce the poem by title but we will add your preferred name & role in captions to save time.
Send us your poems to [email protected] by 28/9/25.
We have a 10 min slot & would like to deliver this as a pre-recorded video containing your poems! So, we are OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS!

We are taking poems from all UK based medical students and doctors.

She says “Poetry appeals to me because it is an escape from the stresses and strains of daily life. It transports people and inspires such depth of emotion with so few words. I think reading and writing poetry add a precious extra dimension to my life, and I am grateful for it.”
She started writing poetry 6 years ago, & has had poems published in literary magazines & in a Lockdown Anthology in 2020.

She loves going on long walks & writing ekphrastic poetry inspired by her nature photographs.

All book fans welcome, you don’t have to work in oncology!

Please share too!
I love how mindful it is as I have concentrate fully & whilst making it get completely lost in the flow of the process.

Has anyone else tried cross stitch or embroidery? What have you made?
Or any other textile crafts you enjoyed. I would love to try knitting one day too!
I’ve recently discovered a new creative hobby: embroidery/ cross stitch.

I bought a small cross stitch kit from hobbycraft & really enjoyed making the butterfly.

Then I was gifted some beautiful kits from cotton_clara so have moved onto these cute funghi.
