Being out is powerful. It makes others safer, if you can be.

This is thirty years now since I began my journey. Next year will be the anniversary of my legal documents!

Never let them to you we're caricatures.
Never let them tell you we didn't exist before.
Keep learning.

#TransDayOfVisibility
A trans flag, with the soft blue, pink, white, pink, blue, horizontal stripes representing the transition in gender with white for nonbinary in the middle. It waves in front of a blue sky and the Santa Cruz clock tower on the trans day of visibility 2019. All the Gear, All the time. A diagonal framed photo of a woman in full protective gear on an electric motorcycle a used 2014 Zero model S. She is celebrating getting her motorcycle endorsement in 2020. The bike is gloss and matte black with a white hoof-print motif on the tank. Her gloves and boots are black, while her jacket is cream mesh while her baggy overpants are a desaturated tan. She has a shoulder bag in many color patches worn cross chest, and her helmet has a stars and stripes and checkered flag motif in neon colors.

Okay. That seems something I should write in my letter.

There's a reason to how the governor times his vetoes...
crissakentavr.bsky.social
Oh no, the person who inherited a company wasn't horrible when everyone else who did was!
crissakentavr.bsky.social
You should probably be removed from their lists, too.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
Dude, you should delete more of your posts.

You said it took decades to get our rights and decades to lose them.

...when the rights you cited were only country-wide for less than a decade.

Hopefully you can do the math on that.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
Do they have a session planned?
crissakentavr.bsky.social
And yes, I heard about the Defense authorization. One got through, pitting 15k of our jobs against tens of millions of people's healthcare and jobs, and that sucks.

But it also doesn't actually change the situation, as the administration was already firing them as Republicans weren't stopping him.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
It also requires the officers identify themselves to establish authority.

If they're just yelling police while threatening, they haven't established they're not fake authority.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
Sure, but it wouldn't work.

Running around hoping to find ICE agents to interrupt is just needle in a haystack work - a needle which would be avoiding you and has friends to frustrate your efforts.

Bystanders and citizens can do it because of happenstance and prior anonymity.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
I hate how bsky can't tell the difference between this and raw porn insertion video.

This is adorable.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
Yeah no.

This is where the 'distraction' talk comes from - if they do enough bad things, no one opposing them has enough time or support to mention every bad thing.

Which makes it easier to break the opposition apart as we all want our call out and attack each other instead.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
Some reviewers (and commenters) would rather write their preconceived notions rather than the movie as delivered.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
It wouldn't make it past filibuster if those votes hadn't been there.

There are some battles to have, and 15k trans people vs tens of millions of jobs and healthcare is a horribly lopsided one.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
"They could have filibustered it," ≠ "Republicans don't need their votes to pass it."

If they can filibuster it, Republicans need their votes to pass it. (Otherwise they can't even vote to pass it.)
crissakentavr.bsky.social
...And unlike defending lies, I can just... Block them. And they're no longer in the thread.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
- I think you mean the 2025 NDAA.
- They could have filibustered both of them. But that would have also harmed children.

You think there was no need. But all those millions of people who wouldn't get healthcare and paychecks might disagree.

That's the power the bigots have. Don't help them.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
Isn't it weird you're uhh... 'knowingly making false and misleading statements'?
crissakentavr.bsky.social
There you go again, making false statements you know to be false.

Kind of like... Lying.

'Say things exactly like the way you want' - no citation. Because it's not true.
'accusing trans people of being right wing' - no citation.
Because it's not true.

You know it's not true. So what is it?
crissakentavr.bsky.social
...I should be standing beside people who campaigned to make sure this administration happened?
crissakentavr.bsky.social
I've probably read it; he was very prolific with original writing, though.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
So, the part where you say something that's literally false, and you know it's literally false, what is that called?

And that part where you said 'enemy'. Who said that first?

Two more false statements.
crissakentavr.bsky.social
And there you go, moving from throwing insults and defending lying to...

...Making your own false statements more and more insistently.

Of course you would. You defended lying. Why wouldn't you start making more false accusations?
crissakentavr.bsky.social

crissakentavr.bsky.social
- But they did lie. And then lied more.
- And only you are 'insisting'.

Because you're defending lying, by calling names. Like a child.
