Here’s another one which should have been in my #80sTop30 and it’s a SCANDAL that it was excluded.

I have written to my MP, demanding to know why this brilliant song was omitted.

The great Stan Campbell & the magnificent Years Go By.

You say it’s hard to remember. You say it’s easier to forget.

At number 17 in my #80sTop30, it’s U2 and I still haven’t found what I’m looking for, 1987.

Quite surprised to find this in my top 20 songs of the decade but I have to be honest with myself. I did REALLY like U2 in the 1980s, particularly The Joshua Tree, so that’s why it’s included.

Ok, it’s the final couple of #steelydan songs in the #ArtistFave15.

So, at number 2, a song with truly fascinating lyrics. Surprised nobody ever made a movie based on this song.

A holiday romance produces an unwanted baby, with the inevitable repercussions. Fabulous little song.

Haitian Divorce.

Anyway, keep in touch and hopefully we can catch-up in person soon!

That’s my way of saying “please leave me alone now”.

Well, my fingers will be (metaphorically, not literally) crossed for you!

My advice is don’t over-think it. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable because that will make you feel more relaxed. As for your hair, well that’s up to you. I can’t offer hair advice, sadly.

People on here wishing Cliff Richard a happy birthday - bit weird. Can’t imagine he’s spending his 85th birthday looking through BlueSky.

Just sent a WhatsApp which contained far too many exclamation marks!!!!

Honestly!! Far too many!!!!

It’s the end of the world as we know it and I don’t feel fine.

How does it feel to be 29? 😀

Another one that REALLY should have been in my #80sTop30. VAR needs to intervene, to overturn this clear and obvious error.

And, at number 18, War Baby by Tom Robinson.

A surprise hit single from 1983, several years after the Tom Robinson Band’s last hit, in the late 1970s.

Only the very young and the very beautiful can be so aloof. Hanging out with the boys, all swagger & poise.

One of my “divorce songs”.

Time for the top 3
And, at number 3, the title track from the 1977 album, Aja.
For a long time, I was convinced that this would be my number 1 but it goes on for a couple of minutes too long, so it’s number 3.

Still a great song. Almost perfect, but not quite.

It was her birthday a few days ago so I sent a card, and got a year’s worth of news in return, including a picture of a baby girl.

The woman who broke my heart a few years ago has sent me a picture of her with her new granddaughter. So that’s nice.

Number 4.

It’s FM, which I believe was taken from a film of the same name. Never seen the film, probably never will.

FM (No Static at all).

Not much else to say about this one, so I’ll shut up.
