How would a flaperon getting tossed around in the surf & tides (for an unknown number of days) have its barnacle size distribution altered before being found? It seems reasonable that the longer ones would be more likely to fall off, possibly reversing the “timer”

Answer: NO THERE WAS NOT. Caltrain connection missed by fifteen seconds 🤪 Note to self next time, walk the connection at San Bruno. @bart.gov this is no way to run a train.

It’s Sunday and I’m trying to catch an 8-minute connection from BART to Caltrain at Millbrae. BART arrived on time at SFO but departed 7 minutes late for Millbrae. Will there be enough time for the time-honored Millbrae escalator sprint?

MAJOR NEWS: @GavinNewsom signed SB 79, my bill allowing more housing near public transit — rail, subway, rapid bus.

It’s a huge step for housing in California. It’ll create more homes, strengthen our transit systems & reduce traffic & carbon emissions.

I’ve been burned enough times at Millbrae that I always check if a San Bruno transfer will work! After all, it is where the connection should have been built.

Fun fact: the hulking structure and garden in the sky keep the basement from floating up to ground level. Other fun fact: it would cost ~$15M/year to mothball it
