It varied through the years but my favorites were when it was 3 rounds. Many early adventures were first the Open at GENCON or other big conventions. Round 1 was Thur/Fri. From that 20-30 teams made it to round 2 on Sat. Then 10 teams on Sun. Made for a great group experience for the convention!
